On Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 6:34 a.m., Cumberland City Police officers responded to business on Park Street for a theft. Upon arrival officers learned that Mary Yoder, age 42 of Cumberland, was in the store being loud and disruptive towards staff members and was further observed stuffing her pockets full of merchandise. Yoder was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was processed and served. Yoder was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s office for a bond hearing and was held on a $2,500.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES: Theft less than $100.00 dollars, Fail to Obey, Disorderly Conduct.
DISTURBANCE ARREST
On Tuesday November 28, 2017, at 3:07 pm, Cumberland City Police officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in East Oldtown Road. Upon arrival officers made contact with Raymond Butts, age 44, who was out in the street and found to be responsible for the disturbance as he was observed acting in a disruptive manner in the presence of passing motorists and passing pedestrians. Butts continued his behavior and was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. A search incident to arrest revealed that Butts was found to be in possession of Marihuana which he was civilly cited for. He was criminally cited for Disorderly Conduct and was released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
