On Thursday, July 4th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 800 block of Haddon Ave for the report of a loud disturbance there. Once on scene, officers located subjects in the rear of the residence actively involved in a verbal altercation. An intoxicated male subject, identified as Eric Brandan Shaw, 39, of Cumberland MD, was observed to have multiple facial injuries. He was also observed to be yelling at and threatening another subject who had jumped in a pool to get away from him. Shaw’s actions had also been observed by multiple neighbors in the area. Shaw was ordered to cease his disruptive behaviors to which he did not comply. Shaw then attempted to leave the scene by pushing the officer out of the way. He was placed under arrest at this time. Further investigation revealed that prior to officer’s arrival on scene, Shaw had became upset and attempted to leave in a vehicle. When other subjects would not let him drive due to his intoxication, he became combative with another male. That male had left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. At the conclusion of the investigation, Shaw was taken to Police Headquarters for processing. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was released on his own personal recognizance.

**Adult Arrests**
On Thursday, July 4th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of East First St for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the complainant on scene. They advised that a male and female subject had been involved in a verbal altercation inside the home. Officers then contacted the subjects who were identified as Angelo Bernard Carlton Jr, 31, and Jenea Francesa Bristol, 19, both of Cumberland MD. Officers attempted to separate the subjects and speak to them individually at which time they began to yell at officers on scene. Both subjects then exited the home and continued to yell which attracted the attention of multiple witnesses in the area. Both subjects were ordered multiple times to cease their disruptive actions to which they did not comply. As a result, both subjects were placed under arrest and taken to Police Headquarters. Both subjects were issued a criminal citation for Disorderly Conduct and released, pending trial in District Court.

On August 3, 2017 at approximately 10:39 AM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Columbia Street for an assault complaint. When officers arrived they met with the adult female victim who said she was assaulted by William Henry Livengood who had fled the area. Investigation revealed Livengood and the female were involved in an argument and Livengood grabbed the female. Livengood also threw a 9 year old child onto a bed before fleeing the residence. Minor injuries were observed to the adult female that did not require medical treatment. The juvenile was not injured during the incident. Police were able to locate Livengood a short time later and placed him under arrest without incident. Livengood was charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was ordered to be held on $7500 bond. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next court appearance in District Court.

Disorderly Arrest
On August 3, 2017 at approximately 11:03 PM the Cumberland Police responded to the area of Centre Street and Baltimore Street for a check on well being of a person passed out on a bench. When police arrived they were able to make contact with the individual who was identified as Samuel Stuart Resnick. Resnick began yelling and causing a disturbance and refused officer’s commands to stop causing a disturbance. He was placed under arrest and issued a criminal citation for Disorderly Conduct. He was released pending trial in District Court.
