On October 22, 2016 Cumberland Police Officers served an arrest warrant on Devin Smith. The warrant was issued after Smith failed to appear for a hearing for an original assault charge.

Smith was placed under arrest, processed and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center and held without bond.
