On November 10th , 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Robert Michael Stangle II, age 62, of Cumberland MD. The Summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on October 31st, 2019. On that date, officers responded to a W. Oldtown Road residence for the report of an assault. When officers arrived on scene, contact was made with the victim of the alleged assault. They advised they were attempting to enter a taxi-cab when the driver accelerated the engine. The victim held onto the door handle resulting in the vehicle dragging them. Stangle was charged with Assault-Second Degree, Reckless Driving, and Failure to immediately stop vehicle at scene of accident involving bodily harm. Stangle was served and released, pending trial in District Court.

Summons Served
On November 10th , 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Daysia Lychai Flores. The Summons was issued by District Court when a Citizen made an application in reference to an incident that occurred on October 28th, 2019. On that date the Citizen advised that Flores was abusing her dog, causing a disturbance and then harassed them.
Flores was charged with Animal Cruelty, Disorderly Conduct and Harass-A course of conduct.
Flore signed and received copies of his charging documents and was released pending trial.

On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Angelo Bernard Carlton Jr, age 30, of Cumberland Maryland. The summons was issued in reference to an incident that occurred on May 16th, 2019 in the 600 block of E. First St, property owned by the Cumberland Housing Authority. During that incident, it was found that Carlton was in violation a no-trespassing order that had previously been served on Carlton by the property owner. Carlton was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.

On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019, the Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Peter Allen Butler, age 52, of Cumberland Maryland. The summons was issued in reference to an incident that occurred on May 18th, 2019, at a residence in the 600 block of Gephart Dr. During that incident, it is alleged that Butler had engaged in argumentative behavior with his neighbors, disturbing their peace. Butler was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.
