CPD Responds To Several Complaints & Serves Bench Warrant

On 12/17/17 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 400blk of Woodside Ave in reference to a destruction of property complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that sometime overnight person(s) unknown slashed the tires on their vehicle. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.

 

Hit and Run

 

On 12/17/17 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 200blk of Park St in reference to a hit and run. Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who stated that sometime during the day an unknown vehicle struck their parked vehicle causing damage to the driver side mirror and front bumper.  There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.

 

Disturbance

 

On 12/17/17 at 6:09pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 400blk of Springdale St for a disturbance. Officers had responded to this same location earlier in the day for a disturbance and warned the subjects against any further disturbances. Upon arrival Officers observed 31 year old Christina Fitzpatrick standing in the middle of the street. Witnesses advised that Fitzpatrick had returned to the residence and began yelling and screaming again at another subject inside a residence. As a result officers placed Fitzwater under arrest and transported her to Police Headquarters where she was issued Maryland Criminal Citations for trespassing, fail to obey a lawful order, and disturbing the peace. Fitzpatrick was released pending trial in District Court.

 

Bench Warrant Served

 

On 12/17/17 the Cumberland Police Dept served a Bench Warrant on 24 year old Corinthia Carr of Cumberland. The warrant stems from Carr failing to appear in District Court on original charges of Forged currency and Theft Under $100. Carr was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond pending her next court appearance.
