Officers were dispatched to the Sheetz store on Virginia Ave. for a report of a shoplifter. Upon their arrival they made contact with the manager who advised that Richard Stewart Dossi attempt to leave the store without paying for 3 fig bars. Dossi was contacted by the officer at which time he admitted to taking the fig bars. Total value for the theft was $2.97. Dossi was placed under arrest and transported to PH where he was charged and processed. He was released after being issued a Criminal Citation.

Officers were dispatched to the Sheetz store on Virginia Ave. for a report of two shoplifters. Upon their arrival they made contact with an employee who advised that two subjects concealed items on them and then left without paying for them. The subjects were identified as Marion Bowie and Ashlie Rhodes. Both admitted that they took the items from the store. Bowie’s total theft from the store was $19.64 and Rhodes’ was $3.58. Both were placed under arrest and transported to PH where they were charged and processed. Thy were both charged with Theft uner $100.

On November 14, 2016 Cumberland Police Officers were called to a Park Street business for a reported Theft. Upon their arrival they were advised by the victim that a subject later identified as Jonathan Baez had entered the store, picked up some of the store’s merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. Baez was in possession of the items and the items were then released back to the store. Baez was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Department. He was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial in Allegany County District Court.

Theft Arrest
On November 14, 2016 Cumberland Police Officers were called to a Virginia Avenue business for a reported Theft. Upon their arrival they were advised by the victim that a female customer, later identified as Ashlynn Paugh, had entered the store, picked up some of the store’s merchandise and went into the bathroom to conceal the items. She was contacted and was found to be in possession of the items. The items were then released back to the store. Paugh was placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland Police Department. She was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial in Allegany County District Court.

Warrant Arrest:
On November 14, 2016 Officers from the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Megan Chamberlain. The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in early November 2016. The complainant stated someone had stolen her debit card and used it to steal a large amount of money. An investigation revealed Chamberlain as the suspect in the case. Evidence was gathered and Chamberlain was charged. She was served with the warrant and later held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
