On December 18th, 2018 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Weber Street residence for the report a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, contact was made with a female victim that alleged that she had an argument with her boyfriend and at some point; he choked and punched her in the face. Officers on scene did observe an injury to the female’s face that was consistent with her statement. Matthew Allen Ford was arrested and charged with assault. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on his own personal recognizance pending trail.

On June 28, 2017 at approximately 2:12 AM, Cumberland Police officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of Shawnee Avenue for an assault complaint. When officers arrived they learned William Joseph Bray and an adult female had been arguing most of the night. The arguing turned physical and Bray assaulted the female. The female sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. Bray was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault and taken to the Cumberland Police Department for processing. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing with the District Court Commissioner.
