Although there have been some slight delays, overall construction on the new Allegany High School has been progressing smoothly. The project was held up last month after a critical brick delivery fell through- proving to be only a temporary delay. The $51 million school on Haystack Mountain has three levels, currently all at various degrees of construction. Maryland recently approved an additional $14 million toward the high school’s construction for fiscal 2018, leaving the balance for Allegany High School at $4 million. Superintendent David Cox tells WCBC News that despite the few delays, the overall project schedule hasn’t been compromised…
