Although Allegany County released its “Roadmap to Reopening” plan this week, the document does not call for restaurants or other businesses to reopen locally ahead of the state schedule. With the plans release and announcement Wednesday, WCBC News received calls from businesses and citizens alike who were under the impression the county is moving ahead of the state’s previously announced plans. That is not the case. Allegany County Administrator Brandon Butler tells WCBC News that the plan simply outlines the guidelines the county’s business and tourism industry will follow as recovery from the coronavirus progresses- and is not meant to supersede the state of Maryland’s plan in anyway…

I’m not sure why restaurants, that have outdoor dining, can’t open with that option. It would allow for more business and, during this time of year, would be a nice way for folks to get out a bit.

The state already has a plan. Just follow that. Why have a plan on top of an existing plan that may interfere with one another?

Every plan will have what you are allowed to do and where you can do it.
BUT remember this; ultimately you are responsible for your own life, or death.
The State and the County and the City always have an out and they will not allow themselves to be responsible for what happens to you.
These are by their own definition, guidelines.

> ” ultimately you are responsible for your own life, or death.” But here’s the rub- Yes, this is MOSTLY true, but the trouble with an infectious pathogen, YOU also become at least partially (if not totally) responsible for infecting OTHERS and hence become responsible for the health & life of your fellow citizens, not just yourself. But sadly most Americans only seem to care about themselves & to he-l with everyone else. Which is why this will go on & on & on & on…..
