Allegany County will host a Workforce Development Employer Summit Wednesday in the Continuing Education Building at Allegany College of Maryland.
County Commissioner Bill Valentine says the summit will begin at 8:30 AM and will run for three hours. Valentine told WCBC’s Dave Norman that the event will include valuable information for employers having a tough time finding employees for job openings, and is not a job fair…
County Administrator Brandon Butler, a former official with the Hogan Administration in charge of workforce development, will give the keynote address. Although the event is free, an RSVP is needed so organizers can prepare. A free continental breakfast will be provided.
