The estimated percentage of gaming proceeds coming to Allegany County from the Rocky Gap Casino Resort is projected to be $1.4 million. The County’s Director of Finance, Jason Bennett provided a brief overview during the regular meeting of the county commissioners. The county entered into a deal prior to the casino’s opening in 2013 that allotted it 2.75 percent of gaming proceeds- although the commissioners are seeking assistance from the local legislative delegation to see that increased.
