Looking at a $3.6 million shortfall, the Allegany County Commissioners Thursday agreed to a series of recommendations from Finance Director Jason Bennett and Administrator Brandon Butler that will balance the budget for FY 2019. The balk of the reductions were made by way of essentially flat funding most of the agencies that had been seeking increases- including the Board of Education; Allegany College; the Animal Shelter: Scenic Railroad and the Airport.
