Maryland 6th District Congressman John Delaney was in Oakland Friday where he met with management and employees of TDEC, a data entry company. Delaney says that the 115 jobs at the firm are endangered unless Congress approves a Delaney sponsored extension of the HUBZone funding by early next year. Absent congressional action, Garrett County will lose HUBZone status in early 2018, endangering many local jobs. Congressman Delaney’s legislation extends federal HUBZone eligibility for Garrett County businesses to 2022. He has filed the bill the last two sessions of Congress, in both 2016 and 2017.
