The Allegany County Commissioners are working toward a solution for increased funding for area volunteer fire and emergency operations- but there is there is some disagreement as to how to go about that. At the most recent meeting of the Commissioners, the officials voted 2-1 to have staff review funding options, specifically a countywide Fire/EMS tax, and to make recommendations.
