Earlier this month Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr expressed frustration with his fellow commissioners for failing to follow up on a pledge he said was made last year to purchase two new vehicles- one for the commissioner’s use, and one for county administrator David Eberly. At the time Brodie called the county’s fleet of vehicles junk and a disgrace. Commissioner Bill Valentine said in the weeks that followed Brodie’s complaint the county reviewed the fleet and determined that most of the vehicles are in good condition, and given the current economic climate, has opted not to pursue any purchases….
