The Cumberland Mayor and City Council received a very preliminary preview of FY 16’s fiscal picture on Tuesday with City Administrator Jeff Rhodes reporting that it looks like assessments and revenues will be holding fairly steady. The big question at this point according to Rhodes is the status of the Highway User revenue. Those funds used for road and bridge repair and upgrades have been severely slashed during the O’Malley administration, but the new administration has talked about restoring those dollars to local governments.
