On Sunday, August 25th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department arrested Scott Michael Dersin, age 39, of Cumberland MD. Dersin was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to appear in Allegany County District Court on previous charges of second degree assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order. Dersin was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on $10,000 bond.

On July 11, 2019 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Ashley Noel Twigg, age 29 of Cumberland, Maryland. The warrant was issued after Twigg failed to appear in District Court. Twigg was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Twigg was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
