On May 5, 2019 at 5:40 pm, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to Queen City Drive at the subway for a check on well being. When officers arrived on the scene they contacted Daniel Miller, age 37 of Lonaconing, Md. Officers had dealt with Miller on two previous occasions due to his disruptive and disorderly behavior. Due to this being the third complaint with Miller officers charged him on a Criminal Citation for disorderly conduct. Miller was released pending trial in District Court.
On May 6, 2019 at 1:31 am, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to Boone Street for an Assault. When officers arrived they spoke to the victim who advised that she had been arguing with Tristan Dorsey, age 21 of Cumberland, Md. The argument then escalated and Dorsey assaulted her and tried to throw her down the stairs. Officer further learned that Dorsey had fled the scene prior to their arrival. Officers investigating the incident observed injuries consistent with the victim’s story. Officers began checking the area and quickly located Dorsey in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue. He was then placed under arrest for 2nd degree assault. Dorsey was later taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance and held without bond
