On Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at approximately 3:40 AM, the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 500 block of Valley Street in reference to a subject being struck by a white car.  Upon arrival, officers located the white car which was unoccupied.  It had sustained damage to the front end and to the windshield.  The victim called again and reported his location.  Officers met with the victim who reported that the operator of the vehicle intentionally struck him with the car.  He stated that after the car struck him, he ran away and two of the occupants of the vehicle chased after him.  The victim was able to get away from the suspects.  The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.  The investigation is ongoing.  Police are asking that anyone with any information to please call the Cumberland Police Department at 301-777-1600.
