On July 5^th, 2017 officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a local business for a shoplifting complaint.  The officer was told by an employee that a female had left the store without paying for several items.  The officer located the female in an adjacent business and identified her as Samantha Michelle Nelson, 25 years old, of Cumberland, MD.  When questioned, Nelson denied having stolen anything, and then attempted to further conceal the items in a shopping bag.  The officer observed the stolen items, and subsequently placed her under arrest.  Nelson  was transported to police headquarters where she was issued a Criminal Citation for Theft Less Than $100 and released.

Charges:  Theft Less than $100
