On Saturday, at approximately 11 AM, Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Springdale Street for an assault.
Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim who advised their son had assaulted them. Officers observed injuries consistent with the assault. As a result of the investigation Brion Thomas Jacobs was placed under arrest.
Jacobs was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance. Jacobs was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $2,000.00 bond.

On Saturday, Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Anthony Horn Jr., age 21 of Cumberland.
The Warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in the 300 block of Averitt Avenue, Cumberland on July 18, 2019. During the incident the alleged victim was allegedly assaulted by Horn. Subsequently, charges were applied for and Horn was charged with one count of Second Degree Assault.
Horn was taken for his Initial Appearance in District Court and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
