On Saturday, the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Timothy Shay Kenney, 37, for Theft and related charges.
The charges stem from an incident Cumberland Police began investigating on July 18, 2017. During that incident police learned a pocket book went missing from an adult female in June of 2017. It was discovered someone tried to use a bank debit card that had been in the pocket book belonging to the female. No money was obtained due to the victim cancelling her account.
Police were able to identify Kenney as the suspect who had attempted to use the card. Police filed for charges at the District Court Commissioner’s Office and a warrant was issued. He was located and arrested without incident.
He was taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office where a bond of $5000 was ordered. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next appearance in District Court.
