Cumberland City Councilman Richard "Rock" Cioni wants to see the Allegany County Commissioners step up and become a more active partner when it comes to challenges – fiscal and otherwise – the city may be facing. The county is set to approve its FY 2018 budget which includes $25 Million in its reserve fund while providing another reduction in taxes. At the same time the city is looking at imposing a nearly ten percent tax hike. Pointing out that Cumberland is the hub of the county – Cioni is calling for the more cooperative approach from the county…
