For the second consecutive meeting, the Cumberland Mayor and City Council members were questioned about the city’s priorities in repairing, paving and upgrading streets. A Massaschusetts Avenue resident says he has studied the list of streets targeted for improvements- and feels there are some glaring omissions- and some overall poor choices. The city contracted with a consultant more than a decade ago to perform a comprehensive evaluation of city streets which led to a prioritized schedule for repairs- when funding is available.
