The Allegany County chapter of Choose Civility will celebrate the county’s second annual Day of Civility is tomorrow- April 11. Choose Civility: Allegany County is a community-wide initiative to position the county as a model of civility by promoting civil conversations and kindness toward others. The day will be marked by a variety of events and activities open to the public, culminating in a Showcase of Civility at Allegany College of Maryland’s Student Center from 4 to 6 p.m. with a talk by Daniel Buccino at 6 p.m. Event organizers have received official proclamations from both Allegany County and the City of Cumberland.
