The Maryland based Chesapeake Bay Foundation says Pennsylvania is not doing enough to reduce pollution flowing into the bay. Runoff from farms into the Susquehanna River continues to be a problem with nitrogen pollution from manure and fertilizers.

Pa. Considers this a Md. problem and doesn’t want to kick in any funds.

This is nothing new. I don’t see it getting any better.

Pennsylvania ought to do like Maryland did, tax everybody that has a toilet even the ones with septic tanks on the contentions that their waste water some how mysterious makes it to the bay, even the people on the other side of the continental divide. Then take that money and put it in the general fund and spend it on what ever and belly ache about needing more money. It’s what liberals do, makeup “facts” come up with solutions that don’t work but you can feel good about them taking your money until they want more and they come up with another “hair brained” idea, then blame some one else when the idea doesn’t work. Welcome to The People’s Republic of Maryland, run by people who have ALL the answers but can’t seem to solve the problems, but it’s someone else’s fault.

You have a lot of pent-up anger Dave.

I agree some what, anger is “a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure or hostility”, I am annoyed and displeased, but not hostile. The 60 bucks a year is not going to break me, I guess it’s my dislike of being lied to. “Don’t pee on my head and tell me it’s raining”. I’m not saying there is not a problem with the “Bay” that has to be addressed. If the state is spending so much money that they can’t afford to do anything with the “Bay” then be honesty. Don’t try to tell me that water I put in my drain field will effect the “Bay”, let alone the people on the other side of the watershed. Either the legislature is that stupid, which I doubt, or they think I am, I‘m not. It is just a way to tax me and I’m supposed to feel good about it, but the majority of Marylanders use a waste treatment system, it is a case of pick on the minority and then ignore their complaints.
