Advocates for police accountability reforms and police representatives are debating changes to the Maryland Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights. Activists say parts of the law place added burdens on police brutality victims. They cite a rule that prevents a police officer suspected of a crime from being interrogated for up to 10 days after an incident.
