The Center for Career and Technical Education will host its 1st Annual SkillsUSA Golf Tournament on May 9, 2015, at Fore Sisters Golf Course in Rawlings, MD. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start and will utilize a four-person team full scramble Oldsmobile scoring format. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams for closest to the pin on a par 3; longest putt; and a car giveaway for a hole-in-one. The cost is $280 per team, which includes golf, cart, t-shirt, and food and drinks on the course. Proceeds from the tournament will support the Career Center's SkillsUSA organization. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure that America has a skilled work force by providing quality educational experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. The deadline to register for the tournament is April 17, 2015. Registration forms and checks, made payable to CCTE with a memo for Golf Tournament, should be sent to Terri Yost, 14211 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown, MD 21502.
