While the Allegany County Board of Education is in the process of tweaking its policy pertaining to student’s use of cell phones- one woman wants to see the communication devices banned altogether. The school system's policy prohibits use but not possession of communication devices during regular school hours. Tammy Fraley, who has children in the system and who ran for a seat on the school board last year, addressed the topic during this month’s business meeting. She said allowing kids to have cell phones at school can potentially lead to problems- and she sees no valid reason as to why any student would need a cell phone during the school day…
