Buckel Comments on Releasing Inmates Early

April 27th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The Maryland House Republican Caucus has written to Governor Larry Hogan, expressing concern over how inmates are being released ahead of the completion of their sentences due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

District 1B Delegate Jason Buckel signed the letter, and in an interview with WCBC News said he's concerned that some of the inmates may be released here, rather than to the area they resided in prior to their incarceration…

The letter from Republican leadership also asks Hogan to create strike teams similar to the ones being used for nursing homes to be deployed for prison outbreaks.

Lots of luck. Leftist governments have three goals; growth for themselves, more control over law abiding citizens and more freedom and welfare for the other sort.

Sorry but the prisoners not on parole have the right to walk out of prison when released.

They do have a right to walkout of prison, but to where they came from. If the federal government ships prisoners to Hazelton, would it be right to release them in West Virginia or take them back to where they were convicted? Maybe we could send them to Guantanamo Bay and then release them in Cuba. Hey now there is an idea!

What sense does it make to not return them to their homes? What are they going to do, become homeless on our streets?

By the way, do we know if they are being released here or did we just make that up?
