BREAKING: Maryland Schools Closed Through May 15th

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and State Schools Superintendent Karen Salmon announced Friday that Maryland public schools would remain closed through May 15th.

    It hard to imagine that after village idiot Dr. Oz said only 2 to 3 % of kids would die if schools reopened now why we’re not reopening the schools. I mean to Trump, 2 to 3% is a rounding error. Save the economy! (not!) Yes, I think we can call in the dogs on this school year. Sad, but necessary.

That means if the current projection of 60,000 deaths holds (the projections have been dramatically reduced several times) returning to school would add 1200 deaths to the total. NOT kids, but total deaths would increase from 60,000 to 61,200. One key feature of life is risk/benefit analysis. How much harm is being done by keeping students home? Special needs, social, emotional, nutrition?
