2:30 PM UPDATE:
Units have been called back a third time for another incident, details of which are not known at this time.
INITIAL REPORT:
Todd Bowman, Public Information Officer with Allegany County Department of Emergency Services, has confirmed to WCBC News that several EMS units were summoned to the Western Correctional Institution for multple stabbings.
The initial call came in just before 1:30 PM, and one patient was taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment. Others had received minor wounds.
EMS from Cresaptown, Bowling Green and Cumberland City responded.
A second call came in at 1:54 PM for another reported stabbing.
