In the very early morning hours of Saturday, July 05, 2014 at approximately 12:11 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence located in the 700 block of Washington Street in reference to a breaking and entering. Upon the officers arrival to the scene they observed that the glass portion of a rear door had been broken out. The residence was searched utilizing a police K-9 with negative results for any suspect. A Detective with C3I responded as well as a Maryland State Police Crime Lab Technician. Evidence was collected at the scene and will be sent to the Maryland State Police Crime Lab for analysis.

On Friday officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the first block of Weber St in reference to a breaking and entering complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who stated that sometime while they were not at home, person(s) unknown entered the residence and removed several items of value. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.
