The Allegany County Health Department reports that an Allegany County man in his 70s has died as a result of complications from COVID-19. He had been hospitalized for some time and had multiple underlying medical conditions. This individual is not connected to the recent COVID-19 outbreak at a local nursing home.
“We are greatly saddened to report that an Allegany County resident has died as a result of complications from COVID-19,” stated Jenelle Mayer, Health Officer for Allegany County. “Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”
To date, there have been 32 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Allegany County.
