If you had someone coming through BWI Airport last evening, they may have been delayed because of this. The Maryland State Fire Marshal says a K-9 gave an alert to a piece of luggage, and the bomb squad was called in around 5 PM. The squad X rayed the item, which was subsequently deemed not to be hazardous.

Additional Information: Unattended luggage was swept by K-9 with an alert. The area was cleared and the Bomb Squad was requested. The unattended bag was x-rayed by the Bomb Squad and subsequently deemed safe. The scene was cleared without incident.
