When it come to schools, attendance always seems to be an issue with some students- however its rare when the Board of Education experiences regular absenteeism among its members. That has been the case in recent months with the Allegany County School Board. Board member Lorelee Farrell, who has been dealing with a number of health issues, has routinely missed work sessions and business meetings- and board member Wayne Foote has missed the last two public sessions. The lack of attendance culminated at the board’s regular August meeting when no business could be conducted or votes taken as only two members were on hand.
