David McKinley, U.S. Representative from West Virginia, recently sponsored a bill that was passed which aims to improve the nation’s Brownfields Program. The program supplies resources to clean up and redevelop former industrial sites.
When drafting the bill, McKinley worked with stakeholders who use the program in West Virginia to suggest improvements. According to McKinley, there are more than 450,000 brownfield sites across the nation.
