The Mineral County Development Authority plans to continue to work on the Carpendale bridge project despite not being able to obtain money from the Mineral County Commission for a master plan. Kevin Clark, Mineral County Development Authority executive director, said this week that a developer has agreed to send a letter of interest to the state and an individual has expressed an interest in locating a hotel there. In August, the commission said it didn’t have money to fund a portion of the $40,000 towards the master plan for a bridge across the Potomac River from Carpendale to U.S. Route 220 at Bowling Green.
