On 6/24/16 at approximately 9:45 am, officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to Walsh-McCagh & Kellough Pharmacy on North Centre Street in reference to an attempted robbery. Officers arrived and secured the area. Information was learned that an unknown male suspect had entered the store and demanded narcotics. When the male suspect was refused he told the clerk again to give him their narcotics. When that failed he fled the store on foot. The suspect was seen wearing a gray hoodie with some type of covering over his face to conceal his identity. Officers were able to locate evidence in an adjacent alley. Maryland State Police Crime Lab responded to collect evidence along with members of the Combined Investigation Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland City Police
