Fun on Frostburg’s Main Street returns with the annual Block Party on Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 10 p.m., filled with music, entertainment, food, games and more. The rain date is Thursday, Sept. 8.
The event is sponsored by Frostburg State University Student Activities and the City of Frostburg Parks and Recreation Department as a way to bring together the campus and city communities and familiarize FSU’s students with the businesses in Frostburg.
Block Party has something for everyone, including giveaways, a DJ, local business, community and student organizations on hand to introduce themselves, and the eighth annual hot-pepper eating contest at 8 p.m., with each round increasing the intensity of the peppers. There will be cash prizes for winners.
FSU SafeRide will offer FSU students a free shuttle to Block Party from 5:45 to 10:45 p.m. from Annapolis Hall to the corner of Mechanic Street and Broadway or from Brady Health to the City Parking Lot behind St. Michael Catholic Church.
