The Cumberland Times News reports Queen City Creamery's plan to add alcoholic drinks, including "adult milkshakes," to the menu was delayed at the Allegany County Liquor Control Board on Tuesday. An attorney for the creamery, Stephen Wilkinson, requested the LCB postpone the creamery's purchase of the former Bowler's liquor license due to unresolved tax issues the Bowler has with the Maryland comptroller. According to Wilkinson, it's simply a matter of finalizing some sales tax returns which have been filed but (the Bowler hasn't) filed the final certification yet. Wilkinson said he is confident the process will move forward.
