All middle and high schools in the Allegany County Public School System are now currently utilizing Raptor Technologies Visitor Management System to track visitors entering schools. Elementary schools will be online with this technology by the end of the month.
This new system requires visitors to show a valid photo ID upon checking in at school offices and provides accurate visitor details and sign-in history as well as district wide reporting for all visitors. Additionally, the visitor management system also instantly screens each visitor against the national registered sex offender database.
Beginning next school year, the Raptor will also be utilized when parents pick up students from school and will check visitors against Aspen in the event of custody or banned visitor issues.
