Allegany County Public Schools, in cooperation and consultation with the Maryland Association of Boards of Education, is now accepting applications from experienced leaders to fill the vacancy of Superintendent of Schools. First consideration application reviews will end on April 20. Interviews will be conducted in May and June. The position, is currently occupied by interim superintendent Jeff Blank. The next superintendent must be named by July 1. William Middleton, MABE lead consultant of Superintendent Search Services, said that all applications will go directly to MABE, and that the names of applicants will initially be kept confidential…

The majority on the board are so out of step with Allegany County. In the middle of all of this lets fully outsource our superintendent job search to down state people who know nothing about our school system
