The Allegany County Public School System is proud to announce that students in the graduating Class
of 2017 have been accepted to 46 different colleges, universities, and technical schools across the country. Of
the 550 graduates, 234 of them have chosen to continue their studies locally at either Allegany College of
Maryland or Frostburg State University. In addition, 238 graduates were offered a total of $8,437,286 in
merit, athletic, academic and senatorial scholarships.
The list of colleges, universities, and technical schools graduates of the Class of 2016 will be attending in
the fall is as follows: Alderson Broaddus University, Allegany College of Maryland, Becker College, Blue Ridge
Technical College, California University of PA, Coastal Carolina University, Culinary Institute of America,
Duquesne University, Florida School of Cosmetology, Frostburg State University, Garrett College of Maryland,
Glenville State College, Hood College, Juniata College, LaRoche College, McDaniel College, Missouri University
of Science and Technology, Mount Aloysius College, Mount Saint Mary’s College, North Carolina State
University, Paul Mitchell’s The Temple, Penn State Fayette, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Point Park
University, Potomac State College, Saint Mary’s College of Maryland, Salisbury University, Seton Hill
University, Shenandoah University, Shepherd University, SPC Clearwater Florida College, State Trooper Credit
