Allegany College of Maryland and the Allegany County American Job Center will sponsor their largest job fair of the year today from 9 a.m. to noon in the ACM gymnasium. Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Physical Education Center. More than 40 businesses will be looking to fill more than 500 full-time and part-time positions in a variety of fields, including customer service, health care, production, information technology and warehousing. Job seekers should be dressed professionally, bring copies of resumes and be prepared to tell employers why they are best qualified to meet the employers’ hiring needs. Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine said he hopes to see the number of job seekers increase because there are literally hundreds of very solid jobs available in the area- but sadly not many people turning in applications in recent years…
