Allegany County high school seniors planning to attend Allegany College of Maryland this summer or fall can conveniently register for classes when ACM academic advisors visit their campus the week of April 23.
The college’s third annual Commitment Days is offered as a convenience to Allegany County Public Schools seniors who have been admitted to ACM but have yet to register for course work.
The six-week summer session, which presents an opportunity for graduating seniors to get a jump start on their college career, begins June 4. The 15-week fall semester starts Aug. 20.
Academic advisers will meet with college-bound seniors by individual appointment at Fort Hill (April 23), Mountain Ridge (April 24), Allegany (April 25) and the Center for Career and Technical Education (April 26).
Interested students should contact their school’s Guidance Office for more information and to secure a time. Information is also available by contacting Melinda Thoele, acting college and career coach, a partnership between ACM and ACPS. She can be reached at 301-784-5242 or mthoele@allegany.edu.
