Cumberland City Police made a pair of arrests Saturday due to disturbances, and served two other warrants in separate cases.
At 8:45 PM, officers responded to a West First Street residence for a disturbance.
Officers arrived and discovered a female subject was in the rear of the residence causing a neighborhood disturbance. Officers talked to the owners of the residence and they stated that a female came to their back door requesting a place to stay. They stated when they refused to allow her in she became irate.
The female suspect who was identified as Natalie Ann Pensinger then punched the window out of the door before leaving. Officers located Pensinger walking nearby and she was taken into custody without incident. During the search of Pensinger officers located a large fixed blade knife concealed on her person. Pensinger was transported to Police Headquarters for processing. She was later taken before the District Court Commissioner where she was released pending trial in District Court.

Then, at about 10:30 PM, officers were dispatched to an Elm Street residence for a possible assault. Officers arrived and located a male and female on the sidewalk near the residence.
Officers spoke with both subjects as well as neighbors who were outside due to the incident. It was discovered that the female was in the residence when Phillip Glenn Potter told her to leave. Potter was upset when the female refused and grabbed her throwing her out onto the sidewalk area. Potter continued to assault the female victim dragging her up the sidewalk. Potter was also yelling and screaming which is what caused the neighbors to exit their residences.
Potter was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. The victim was transported by Cumberland Fire Department Ambulance to be checked due to minor injuries as a result of the assault. Potter was later transported to the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial in District Court
