The Cumberland Times News reports a 12-year-old boy was seriously injured Sunday when he was wounded in the back with a pair of garden shears during an altercation with his 13-year-old sister, according to the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.
The boy was treated by paramedics and flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, West Virginia, by Trooper 5, a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter.
No information was available on the extent of injuries to the boy, who remained conscious at the scene, authorities said.
The sister was arrested following investigation of the 3:51 p.m. incident.
She was placed in the custody of juvenile authorities. Corriganville fire and ambulance volunteers and the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services responded to the scene and established a landing site for the helicopter.
The C3I Unit also responded to the incident to assist the sheriff's office.

the girl had problems (anger) and I go to school with both of them. I have seen the boy in school and he seems to be doing well. I have not heard about the girl
