Zoning Hearing This Evening on Wind Turbine Project

There will be a fourth Board of Zoning Appeals hearing for Case No.975 on July 18, 2024, at the Allegany County Office Complex, 701 Kelly Road, Cumberland, Maryland in the County Commissioners’ Meeting Room, starting at 5:00 P.M. All interested parties are welcome to attend.

ANCHOR’s Geologist consultant on Hydrogeological Assessment of the Dan’s Mountain Wind Force Project will testify.

Each turbine base is 30' deep and 60' in diameter, it takes 3140 cubic yards of concrete weighing in at 5652 tons along with 20 tons of rebar. Each turbine base is 1,080 feet deep.

ANCHOR is a citizen's group opposed to the turbine installation on Dan's Mountain.
