Maryland’s first ever Youth-Only Trout Fishing Day is scheduled for March 23.  Young anglers under 16 may fish in the state’s put-and-take trout areas from 6:30am to 10pm. The official opening day of Trout Season for Maryland is March 30, starting at 6:30am. Thousands of hatchery-raised brown, golden, and rainbow trout have been stocked in streams across the state in preparation.
